Weather Halts Play in Mississippi; Potter shoots 73
Friday, September 20, 2019

Play was halted due to the weather yesterday at the Sanderson Farms Championship with many red-hot players left on the course with a chance to top the leaderboard. Of those who finished, Tom Hoge was the leader at 8-under-par 64 over the Country Club of Jackson course, with Robert Streb, Cameron Percy and Seamus Power tied for second one stroke behind. But that will all change as the round is finished this morning.

Ted Potter put himself in jeopardy again with bogeys at the 11th and 12th holes after he played the first 10 in one under. He bogeyed 6 and birdied 9 for an even-par 36 on the front, then got it to 1 under with a birdie 2 on the par-3 10th. With many in the field shooting the lights out, Ted will have to put up a 70 or better today to make the new cut of 65 and ties. He goes off at 3:01 (4:01 EDT) with Austin Cook and Andrew Landry so he'll have a good idea of what he'll have to do to make it to the weekend.
