LAUREL, MD – The Stronach 5 returns Friday with races from Laurel Park, Gulfstream Park and Golden Gate Fields along with a $100,000 guaranteed pool and 12-percent industry-low takeout.

    The first race in the sequence will be Laurel Park’s seventh race, a $42,000 allowance event for 3-year-olds and up going 1 1/16 mile on the Dahlia Turf Course. Nick Papagiorgio, a 4-year-old son of Outflanker trained by Jamie Ness, is the 7-2 morning line choice in the 12-horse field.

    The Stronach 5 is scheduled to begin at 3:58 p.m.

    The second race at Golden Gate Fields will conclude the Stronach 5. The 5 ½ furlong claiming event for fillies and mares drew a field of seven with the early favorite C C the Bartender.

           Leg One – Laurel Park 7th Race: (12 entries, 1 1/16 mile turf) 3:58 ET, 12:58 PT.

·         Leg Two –Gulfstream Park 9th Race: (12 entries, 1 1/8 mile turf) 4:14 ET, 1:14 PT.

·         Leg Three –Laurel Park 8th Race: (8 entries, 6 furlongs) 4:32 ET, 1:32 PT.

·         Leg Four –Laurel Park 9th Race: (9 entries, 5 ½ furlongs turf) 5:07 ET, 2:07 PT.

·         Leg Five –Golden Gate Fields 2nd race: (7 entries, 5 1/2 furlongs) 5:20 ET, 2:20 PT.
