Thomas Clings to One-Stroke Lead Over Surging Rahm
Sunday, October 25, 2020

Justin Thomas still leads the Zozo Championship heading into today's finale after a third-round 67 left him one stroke ahead of surging Jon Rahm, who turned in a 9-under 63 to take over second by himself. Lanto Griffin's 68 kept him in third at 17 under, and the top three will try to settle the issue beginning at 2:50 at the Sherwood Country Club course in Thousand Oaks, California.

There are 14 players within five strokes of the lead, a list that doesn't include Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson. But if there were spectators allowed on the course, other than the many who are watching from their back yards and patios, Thomas, Rahm and Griffin wouldn't be the main focus of the crowd until the final few holes. Before that, the biggest gallery would be following the trio that tees off at 2:28 from the 10th tee - Tiger, Phil and Adam Long

Tiger was unable to replicate his round of Friday, when he posted a 66, barely breaking par with a 71 when he didn't make a birdie on the front nine after making five the day before. Tiger is 3 under, tied for 68th, as is Phil, who shot 67.

Seminole Daniel Berger is tied for 31st at 10 under, and Gator Billy Horschel is 4 under after a Saturday 73.
