HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - Scandinavian jockey Fanny Olsson moved another step closer to achieving her goal of becoming established in the U.S. Sunday, riding her second winner of the weekend at Gulfstream Park.

The 26-year-old native of Sweden, who has ridden more than 100 winners in Sweden, Denmark and Norway since embarking on her career in 2016, scored a front-running four-length triumph aboard Jorge Delgado-trained Chirping ($6.80) in Race 3, a 1 1/16-mile race for $6,250 claimers.

“My dream has always been to ride races here,” Olsson said. “I’m just blessed.”

Olsson ventured from Sweden to South Florida 10 months ago and worked as an exercise rider at Gulfstream while preparing to graduate to riding in the afternoon. She rode her first race on May 25, but didn't score her first U.S. victory until her fourth mount in Friday’s eighth race, winning by 12 ½ lengths on Delgado-trained Slingin Sammy B.

“It’s a lot different here," Olsson said. "They ride a lot tighter. The races are much faster. The riders here are really good. I’m just going to have to step up my game.”

Rainbow 6 Jackpot Rising - The Rainbow 6 went unsolved for the 18th consecutive racing day Sunday, producing a carryover jackpot of $472,901 for Thursday’s program. Multiple tickets with all six winners Sunday were each worth $35,083.20.

There will also be a Late Pick 5 carryover of $38,054. Also, there will be a Super Hi-5 carryover of $18,901.

The Rainbow 6 was last solved on July 6, when one bettor hit for a $173,583 jackpot payoff.
