The 2-year-old colt by Uncle Mo, trained by Brad Cox, pressed the pace, battled between horses down the stretch and drew away in the final sixteenth. Purchased for $325,000 out of the Gene Recio consignment at the 2022 OBS Spring Sales after breezing an Under Tack eighth in :10 flat, he has earned $165,710.

Monarch Stable’s Last Leaf came around horses on the turn in Saturday’s $75,000 Azalea Stakes at Gulfstream, took the lead at the head of the stretch then drew away in the lane to score by 3 1/2 lengths, with fellow OBS Stellar Ride (April ’21) checking in third. In front at every point of call in both of her starts, the 3-year-old daughter of Tapiture, trained by McLean Robertson, is two for two and has earned $57,000.
