Brett Stegmaier faltered somewhat in the second round of the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit, but the ex-Gator still made the cut, posting a 2-under-par 70 and heading into the weekend at 7 under. The cut came at 4 under par.

    Brett made six birdies in round 2, but four bogeys prevented him from sneaking into the top 10 after 36 holes. He's tied for 29th and has an excellent chance to collect another good paycheck on Sunday evening to go along with the $46,000 he earned last week at the Travelers. 

    Two Taylors - Moore and Pendrith - are deadlocked for the lead at 13 under par in the $8.8 million event. Gator Tyson Alexander bowed out with 72-76, making six bogeys and just two birdies on Friday. Seminole Hank Lebioda is still around after a pair of 69s for 6 under; he's tied for 41st.
