Ted Potter birdied four of his final seven holes at the TPC Avenel Farm yesterday and made the cut with  ease after posting a 4-under-par 66 and a 36-hole total of 2-under 138 in the Quicken Loans National.

Ted played the back nine in 1 under with three birdies and two bogeys and began the front side with a bogey on No.1. But the birdies at 3, 6, 7 and 9 put him well within the cut line. He tees off at just before 11 a. m. today in round 3.

Beau Hossler, Ryan Armour and Gator Brian Gay lead the field at 9 under heading into today's round. Gator Billy Horschel is also in the hunt at 8 under after rounds of 64-68-132.

Tiger Woods also made a major jump after an opening 70, making seven birdies and two bogeys for a 5-under 65. He's just four strokes off the lead and tees off at 12:25.
