Potter Tied for 34th at RSM Classic

    Ted Potter was off to a slow start in round 2 of the RSM Classic at Sea Island, bogeying the first two holes he played on the back nine, but he recovered, making two birdies and one more bogey for a 1-over 37.

    On the front, Ted had it to 1 under for the day with three birdies and a bogey for the first six holes, but encountered a ton of trouble on No. 7, and took a double bogey 7. He birdied 8 and parred 9 and wound up at even par for the day and remained at 4 under for 36 holes, tied for 34th. 

    Charles Howell III added a second 64 for a 14-under 128, and a three-stroke lead over Jason Gore and up-and-comer Cameron Champ. 

    Gators: BrianGay, 69-67-136, 6 under, tied for 10th; Matt Every, 69-69-138, 4 under, tied for 34th. The cut came at 2 under.
