Potter Tied for 20th in RBC Canadian Open
Sunday, June 11, 2023

The conclusion of Ted Potter's successful second cut of the season will unfold this afternoon in the final round of the $9 million RBC Canadian Open in Toronto.

Ted has posted rounds of 73-67-70 through 54 holes at the Oakdale Golf and Country Club, and sits in a tie for 20th at 6 under heading into the finale. In his only previous cut, he earned a measly $8,664 at the Puerto Rico Open, but a good performance today will dwarf that - 20th place in Toronto is worth $119,250. He'll be trying to add a healthy check to his lifetime PGA earnings of $6,090,565.

Ted's three rounds have included two eagles - a deuce on the par-4 8th in the first round and a three on the par-5 18th in round 2. He goes today at 12:30 in the company of S. H. Kim.

    C. T. Pan is the leader with rounds of 70-66-66-202, 14 under par, and two strokes ahead of a group of five - Tommy Fleetwood, Rory McIlroy, Mark Hubbard, Harry Higgs and Andrew Novak, all of whom shot 66 or 67 in round 3.

Gator Brian Gay, still splitting time between the PGA Tour and the Champions, is tied for 42nd with 71-70-72-213, 3 under. The other Gators - Tyson Alexander (71-79) and Camilo Villegas (75-69) missed the cut of minus 1, as did Seminole Hank Lebioda (77-71).
