Potter Returns in RBC Canadian Open
Thursday, June 8, 2023

Two of the three players from the Ocala/Gainesville contingent will be in action today in the first round of the RBC Canadian Open at Oakdale Golf and Country Club in Toronto.

Ted Potter, who hasn't played in a while, and former Gator Tyson Alexander will be among those trying to prevent Rory McIlroy from making it two straight above the border. Rory won last year by two strokes over Tony Finau and took home $1,566,000. Ocalan Louis Oosthuizen won't be playing as the details of the PGA/LIV merger get worked out.

Ted tees off on No. 10 today at 1:32, Tyson goes at 12:32.

Other Gators in the hunt are Brian Gay and Camilo Villegas, along with Seminole Hank Lebioda.
