Saturday, March 25, 2023

Ted Potter's streak of making cuts ended at one - he shot 77-76-153, nine over par, at the Corales Puntacana Championship in Mexico. The cut line came at even par.

After 54 holes, tied for the lead at 14 under are Nicolai Hojgaard (71-65-66-202) and Sam Stevens (69-65-68-202), and they're one stroke better than the quartet of Thomas Detry, Wyndham Clark, Tyler Duncan and Matt Wallace. There's a three-way tie for seventh at 12 under, so the title in the $3.8 million event is up for grabs.

Gator Tyson Alexander is tied for 31st after rounds of 70-70-71-211, 5 under par. All told, the new millionaire has made 10 birdies and five bogeys, and eight of the birdies have come on the 12 par 5's he's played. Another Gator, Camilo Villegas, is alive in a tie for 65th with 71-72-73- 216, even par, but Matt Every bowed out with 75-71-146. Seminole Hank Lebioda is tied for 52nd at 2 under.
