Potter Misses Cut at BMW Charity Pro-Am

    Ted Potter bowed out of the BMW Charity Pro-Am in Greer, South Carolina, after 36 holes, posting rounds of 73-71-144, 1 over par, at the par-71 Thornblade Club and the par-72 Carolina Country Club.

    The cut came at 4 under par, as birdies were the order of the day, and 74 players made it. There were another 45 under par who missed the cut and 11 more at even par. 

    Nelson Ledesma (63-66-129) leads heading into the weekend at 14 under par. He has a two-stroke lead over five others. 

    Ted is entered for this week's $750,000 Wichita Open, but is again the third alternate. Last week, he began as alternate No. 3 and made it into the body of the tournament by noon on Monday.

    6:30 p. m. - By the time the Belmont Stakes came around late this afternoon, Ted had already moved up to the No. 1 alternate spot.  

ROWLAND OUT - Roger Rowland shot 77 in the first round of the $2.4 million American Family Insurance Championship in Madison, Wisconsin, and withdrew after finishing his round.
