Potter Makes It into Satellite Event in Dominican Republic
Monday, March 20, 2023

Ted Potter began this week as the third alternate for the Corales Puntacana Championship, the satellite event being played opposite the $20 million WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play in Austin, Texas. Ted didn't have to wait long for three defections, and by Monday he was all set to play in the Dominican Republic in the $3.8 million event at the Puntacana Resort & Club.

Ted finally broke his 12-event missed cut streak two weeks ago and he's sitting at No. 228 on the PGA Tour money list with earnings of $8,664.

Gator Tyson Alexander, not eligible for the WGC, is also on the entry list for Puntacana. He tied for 65th Sunday at the Valspar in Palm Harbor, and picked up $17,334, lifting his total to $1,068,566, 68th on the PGA Tour money list. Tyson had trouble on the famed Copperhead course and shot 73-70-73-75-291, 7 over par. Gators Camilo Villegas and Matt Every are also on board, with Every desperately trying to emulate the form he hasn't been able to muster up since winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational back-to-back in 2014 and 2015.

Taylor Moore rallied with a final-round 67 to win the Valspar at 10 under par. He passed third-round leader Adam Schenk (9 under), and Jordan Spieth and Tommy Fleetwood (8 under), all three of whom posted 1-under-par 70s in the finale.

Seminole Hank Lebioda finished at 4 over and tied for 58th.
