Potter Hurts FedEx Chances with Sunday 75
Monday, September 3, 2018

After making the cut at the Dell Technologies Championship, Ted Potter put himself in a precarious position after a Sunday 75 that left him on the outside looking in as far as continuing on the FedEx Cup trail this week. The 4-over round dropped him to 72nd place on the FedEx list, and only the top 70 will get to play in event No. 3. It will take a major turnaround today to get Ted back into the top 70.

Sailing along at 1 under par and seemingly safe after 10 holes, Ted made double bogey on both par 3s on the back nine to seriously hurt his chances.

Abraham Ancer led after three rounds at 13 under, one ahead of Bryson DeChambeau and Tyrrell Hatton and two ahead of Cameron Smith and Justin Rose. Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth are both at 9 under.

Tiger Woods shot 68 and is 7 under despite missing several short birdie putts, and three-putting one green that he nearly turned into a four-putter. Brooks Koepka is also at 7 under, and Phil Mickelson at 2 under.
