Osten Waite Finds a Rocky Road on Latinoamerica Tour
Wednesday, April 19, 2023

Ocala's Osten Waite, 28-year-old son of PGA Tour winner Grant Waite, is finding it difficult to make a dent on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica.

Osten withdrew from the latest event, the JHSF Aberto do Brasil, and to date has played in 13 tournaments, making just three cuts. He's earned $1,551 this season, putting him at No. 113 on the money list, and $2,163 all told.

Manual Torres, a former Florida collegian who has friends in Ocala and has played here often, missed the cut in last week's event with rounds of 72-78, 8 over par. He's played in 27 events and made 14 cuts, with $23,738 in purse money. This season, he's in 69th place with earnings of $4,364.
