Tuesday, May 16, 2023

Ocala's Louis Oosthuizen continues to rake in the cash in the money-laden LIV golf league, including $750,000 from his team's victory in the 4-man department of the $25 million LIV Golf Tulsa that wound up Sunday.

Oostie's Stinger GC, which consists of himself, Branden Grace, Charl Schwartzel and Dean Burmester, finished 54 holes at 40 under par, good for a one-stroke decision over 4AcesGC - Dustin Johnson, Pat Perez, Patrick Reed and Peter Uihlein. Despite Dustin's individual playoff victory over Grace and Cam Smith, Grace's birdie putt on the 54th hole of the team event won it for the Stinger's. Dustin collected the $4 million for the victory, and Cam and Grace each took home $1,875,000.

Oostie finished tied with six others for 23rd at 7 under par, he brought another $200,714 back to Ocala, $950,714 in all.

Back home, Justin Day broke a long drought with a one-stroke victory in the AT&T Byron Nelson in Texas, good for $1,710,000. Jason was 23 under par.
