Hronis Racing’s Edgeway pressed the pace for a quarter in the Gr. III, $100,000 Las Flores Stakes at Santa Anita, took command on the turn and drew away with ease down the stretch to win by seven lengths. It’s the second graded stakes victory for the lightly-raced 5-year-old daughter of Competitive Edge, now 11-7-2-1 with $656,360 in earnings for trainer John Sadler. After breezing an Under Tack eighth in :10 flat, she was purchased for $275,000 out of the Mayberry Farm consignment at the 2019 OBS April Sale.

LNJ Foxwoods’ Lighthouse was rated just off the pace in the early going of the $600,000, Gr. I ATC Coolmore Cup at Australia’s Rosehill Gardens, rallied to take the lead coming to the 200m mark and drew away late to score by two lengths. It’s the first graded stakes victory for the 6-year-old daughter of Mizzen Mast, trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eust, now 17-8-5-1 with six stakes wins and $973,383 in earnings. At the 2019 OBS April Sale, she breezed an Under Tack eighth in :10 flat before she was purchased.
