For the session, 163 horses sold for $18,560,500, compared with 145 horses grossing $12,994,500 at last year’s first session. The average price was $113,868, compared with $89,617 a year ago, while the median price was $60,000, compared with $50,000 last year. The buyback percentage was 19.7%; it was 39.8% in 2020.
