LAUREL, MD – A powerful winter storm passing through the Mid-Atlantic region has forced the Maryland Jockey Club to cancel today’s live nine-race program at Laurel Park.

    According to the National Weather Service, the Baltimore/Washington area and northeastern Maryland were forecast to experience rapidly deteriorating conditions as rain turned to heavy snow at a rate of 1-2 inches per hour, with gusty winds.

   Laurel, Pimlico, Rosecroft and the MJC OTB Network will remain open for simulcasting. comments powered by Disqus
