Jackpot Will Go Today or Tomorrow

HALLANDALE BEACH - The 20-cent Rainbow 6 went unsolved for the 22nd consecutive racing day at Gulfstream Park Thursday, growing the carryover jackpot to $1,413,193 for today’s 12-race program. (First-race post time is set for noon).
There will also be a Super Hi 5 carryover of $23,292.53.
A total of $296,546 was bet into the multi-race wager, which began with a carryover of $1,342,034.54 from Wednesday’s card. Multiple tickets with all six winners Thursday were each worth $55,345.88. .
Since the 2018-19 Championship Meet kicked off Dec. 1, the Rainbow 6 has been hit five times, most recently for a $188,900.81 payout Jan. 9.
Today’s six-race sequence will span Races 7-12, featuring Pay Any Price’s return to action in Race 8, an optional claiming allowance at five furlongs on turf. The popular 9-year-old gelding, who set a North American record (53.61 seconds) for five furlongs on turf while winning the 2017 Silks Run at Gulfstream, has won 15 of 25 starts, including 12 of 17 at Gulfstream.
A mandatory payout of the 20-cent Rainbow 6 pool will be held Saturday. The entire pool, including a carryover jackpot, will be paid out to all those holding tickets with the most winners.
Thursday’s Late Pick 5 returned $57,091.25.
