Hatton Stumbles at Bay Hill, But Rest of Field Falls
Monday, March 9, 2020

Bay Hill proved to be too much once again for the field in the Arnold Palmer Invitational yesterday, as, incredibly, only four players broke par for 72 holes. Tyrell Hatton made plenty of mistakes over the final 18 holes, but they were less than his closest rivals and he won by one stroke at 4 under.

Marc Leishman held on for second at 3 under, followed by Sungjae Im at 2 under and Bryson DeChambeau at 1 under. That was it. Now, they all move up the coast about a couple of hours to Ponte Vedra for the $15 million Tournament Players Championship, unofficially called the Tour's fifth Major.

The TPC field is loaded - with the notable absence of Tiger Woods, who is still nursing an injury, and Ted Potter, who hasn't done anything lately to make him eligible. Gators Matt Every, Brian Gay and Billy Horschel are aboard, along with Seminoles Brooks Koepka and Daniel Berger.
