Hall Had Schwab in the Bag, But it May Have Slipped Out
Sunday, May 28, 2023

At the halfway point of the Charles Schwab Challenge, it looked like Harry Hall had it all under control. He ripped the Colonial Country Club course in Fort Worth for a first-round 8-under-par 62, then tacked on a 4-under 66 for 128, 12 under par, and nobody was close.

But Harry fell victim to the Saturday blues, posting a 2-over-par 72, and now he's tied for the lead with Adam Schenk (66-67-67-200), with Harris English one stroke behind and a slew of others well in range with 18 holes to play.

Gator Billy Horschel would have liked to win this one just to negate Seminole Brooks Koepka's PGA championship victory, but Billy's 67-74-70-211 has him 1 over par, and he barely made the cut at that number. Tyson Alexander missed the cut by a stroke with 72-70-142, and he's currently the second alternate for the next event, Jack Nicklaus's Memorial in Dublin, Ohio.
