PGA Tour Golf Is Back - Schwab Challenge Field Is Loaded
Wednesday, June 10, 2020

Big-time golf returns tomorrow at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, where Kevin Na will defend his title in the Charles Schwab Challenge, originally scheduled for May 21-24. And, even minus Tiger, the field is loaded.

The long vacation has no doubt made players restless and ready to roll, and aside from the long list of big guns on hand with their sights set on the $7.5-million purse, with more than $1.3 million to the winner, there's a good sprinkling of Champions Tour players who had nowhere else to go this week.

The oldies list includes the amazing Bernhard Langer, Trilogy architect Tom Lehman, Olin Browne, David Frost, Scott McCarron, Steve Stricker, Vaughn Taylor, Chad Campbell and Keith Clearwater.

But the list of mainliners is striking - Jason Day, Bryson DeChambeau, Tony Finau, Bubba Watson, Jim Furyk, Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia, Jordan Spieth, Gary Woodland, Emiliano Grillo, Viktor Hovland, Jon Rahm, Dustin Johnson, Zach Johnson, Matt Kuchar, Rory McIlroy, Webb Simpson, Patrick Reed, Justin Rose, Xander Schauffele and defending champ Na. It's like a Major.

The Gators are represented by Billy Horschel and Brian Gay, and the Seminoles by Brooks Koepka and Daniel Berger, with Hank Lebioda on the alternate list with no chance of getting in.

Ted Potter isn't playing, he's at the Korn Ferry Challenge at TPC Sawgrass.
