Flesch Wins in Georgia; Rowland Finishes 75th
Monday, May 9, 2022

Roger Rowland revved it up a little in the final round of the Mitsubishi Electric Classic yesterday, tacking on a 2-over-par 74 to his rounds of 82 and 77 for 233, 17 over par. The former Ocalan finished 75th and last at the TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, Georgia, and picked up a check for $3,116. That raised his account for six Champions Tour events this season to $14,286.

After a 4-over-40 on the back nine, Roger was on his way back to par with three birdies on the back, one on a par three, one on a par four, and one on a par five. But he three-putted his final hole for a bogey.

Roger isn't entered in this week's Regions Tradition in Birmingham, won by Alex Cejka, who cashed in for $375,000. Roger will no doubt drop some on the money list - he's currently at No. 89.

Steve Flesch won in Duluth, finishing with 65 yesterday and winding up at 11 under par. There was a three-way tie for second at 10 under among Padraig Harrington, who closed with 64, Fred Couples, who shot 66, and second-round leader David Toms, who slipped to 70.
