First Breeders' Cup Day Highlighted By $435,465 Rainbow

    MIAMI GARDENS - No single bettor solved the 20-cent Rainbow 6 for the 23rd consecutive racing day Thursday at Gulfstream Park West, growing the carryover jackpot to $435,465 for today’s nine-race card. First race post time is 12:30 p.m.

    Multiple tickets with all six winners Thursday were each worth $11,408.

    Today’s Rainbow 6 covers Races 4-9 highlighted by a pair of veterans going for their 11th career wins – 7-year-old gelding To Dare in Race 6, a starter optional claimer going one mile, and 6-year-old gelding Big Boy Bruno in Race 8, a Florida-bred allowance sprinting 6 ½ furlongs, both on the main track.

    At Gulfstream Park there will be advance wagering today on Saturday’s Breeders’ Cup program from Santa Anita, which includes the $6 million Classic, $4 million Turf and $2 million Distaff.

   Gulfstream’s Breeders’ Cup Watch Party will take place Saturday in the Flamingo Room with $5,000 in prizes up for grabs from noon to 8:30 p.m. There will be a $50 lunch buffet from noon to 6 p.m. and live entertainment by Leo Quintero
