At age 47, Stewart Has Thrown Everything at Them but the Kitchen Sink
Sunday, April 18, 2021

It's happened before, with the runaway leader appearing to be a cinch with 18 holes remaining and inexplicably losing it on the back nine Sunday. But not the way Stewart Cink is rolling along on the Harbour Town course in Hilton Head.

The 47-year-old who has won the RBC Heritage twice wasn't quite as sharp Saturday as he was in fashioning a pair of 63's in rounds 1 and 2, but his 2-under-69 was still good enough for him to head into today's finale with a five-stroke lead at 18 under par. Collin Morikawa, with rounds of 65-68-67, is 13 under, all alone in second, with Emiliano Grillo alone in third at 12 under.

Defending champ Webb Simpson, hopelessly out of it after 36 holes, banged out a 7-under-64 Saturday and is at 10 under, tied for sixth.

Seminole Daniel Berger and Gator Billy Horschel are tied for 10th at 9 under. Berger shot 66 Saturday and Horschel 71. Gator Camilo Villegas continued his excellent comeback with 69-68-68, and is 8 under, tied for 17th.
