HALLANDALE BEACH - Gulfstream Park’s 14-race program Saturday, highlighted by Ete Indien’s victory in the $400,000 Fasig-Tipton Fountain of Youth, produced a record handle on Fountain of Youth Day of $36,522,388. The previous record was $31.230 million set on last year’s 14-race program.
Fountain of Youth Day handle has grown each year since 2015, when total handle was $20.585 million.
“We want to thank our patrons and horsemen for participating and supporting this great day of racing,” said Gulfstream’s Vice President of Racing Mike Lakow. “There was a tremendous energy in the building from morning until evening. We’re looking forward to more great racing and entertainment during the last month of the Championship Meet culminating in the $1 million Curlin Florida Derby March 28.”
