Potter Goes With Horschel and Berger in Phoenix
Wednesday, January 29, 2020

After missing the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines, Ted Potter will be back in action at the Waste Management Phoenix Open beginning tomorrow. Ted tees off at 12:25 on hole No. 10 of the par 71 TPC Scottsdale in the company of a Gator and a Seminole - Billy Horschel and Daniel Berger. Horschel played at Torrey Pines and finished at 1-over-par 289, tieing for 68th place.

Rickie Fowler won this $7.3 million event last year and took home $1,278,000.

A solid field has been assembled in Scottsdale to try to wrest the title from Fowler, including Bryson DeChambeau, Zach Johnson, Tony Finau, Emiliano Grillo, Matt Kuchar, Hideki Matsuyama, Jon Rahm, Xander Schauffele, Brandt Snedeker, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Bubba Watson and Gary Woodland.

Tiger Woods will be sitting this one out after he tied for ninth last week with even rounds of 69-71-69-70-279, 9 under par.

Last year, after posting a 2-under 69 in the first round, Ted bowed out with a 6-over 77 for 4-over 146.
