Potter Shoots 73 in Valspar, Makes Cut at 2 Under Par
Saturday, May 1, 2021

Ted Potter was unable to repeat his sharp Thursday 67 in the Valspar Championship, but his Friday 2-over-par 73 was still good enough for him to make the cut. At 2-under 140, he heads into today's third round at Innisbrook one stroke better than the cut line.

It ended Ted's latest string of three missed cuts and gives him an opportunity for a big paycheck in the $6.9 million event being played over the tough Copperhead course. It's the fifth cut he has made in 16 tries this season. Ted began with a bogey on No. 1, and closed with a bogey on 18.

Keegan Bradley held on to  his lead with rounds of 64-66-130, 12 under par, but he's tied with Sam Burns, who shot 67-63. Lucas Glover, Mark Homa and Charley Hoffman are deadlocked for third at 8 under.

Seminole: Hank Lebioda is tied for 6th at 7 under (66-69-135). USF: Chase Koepka is tied for 24th at 4 under (68-70-138). Gators: Camilo Villegas is tied for 34th at 3 under (71-68-139), and Brian Gay missed the cut (73-71).
