Northwest Stud Farm's freshman sire Pleasant Strike gained his first winner on Sept. 13 and it came in stakes company at La Rinconada in Venezuela. Graciela Mia, a 2-year-old filly out of the Langfuhr mare Crafty Diane making her career debut, came from well back in the pack, and with a strong stretch run, was up to score by a half-length in the Gr.
