Matt Kuchar, unknown Kramer Hickok and Dominic Bozzelli are tied for the lead after the first round of the Mayakoba Golf Classic in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The trio all posted 7-under-par 64s to take a one-stroke lead over a mob of 15 followers at 6 under. Bozzelli played at Golden Hills in the FSGA event several years ago and stayed with Eric and Carrie Casey in their home on the 17th hole, and they have remained in contact ever since. 

    Par took a beating, and the early projected cut line is at 2 under.

    Gators: Brian Gay, 68, 3 under, tied for 42nd; Billy Horschel, 71, even par, tied for 91st.
