Monday, October 21, 2019

Justin Thomas added a Sunday 67 at the CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges and captured the event by two strokes over Danny Lee, who dropped out of a 54-hole deadlock with a final-round 69. Thomas finished at 20 under par. In third place were the trio of Hideki Matsuyama, Gary Woodland and Cameron Smith at 15 under.

Other scores of note: Jordan Spieth, 12 under; Viktor Hovland and Phil Mickelson, 7 under; Billy Horschel, 2 over; and Jazz Janewattananong, 3 over. Hovland's streak of 19 consecutive rounds in the 60s ended Saturday, but he began a new streak with a Sunday 69.

The next event begins in Japan Thursday and the $9,750,000 Zozo Championship has drawn a strong field, including Tiger Woods, along with Thomas, Hovland, Matsuyama, Spieth, Rory McIlroy, Horschel, Bubba Watson, Woodland, Jazz and several other big guns.
