Justin Thomas defeated Luke List on the second hole of a playoff at the Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens after the two tied for the top spot at 8-under-par 272. Thomas birdied the par-5 18th hole while List made par. 

    Tiger Woods made more inroads in his much-ballyhooed comeback, finishing 12th at even-par 280 after twice getting within four strokes of the lead during Sunday's final round. Tiger and Ted Potter, who missed the cut Friday, will be idle this week as the Tour moves to Mexico for the $10 million World Golf Championships. They come back to Florida the next week for the $6.5 million Valspar Championship at Innisbrook in Palm Harbor.
