Thomas Takes Two-Stroke Lead in Korea

    Only 78 players showed up for the CJ @ Nine Bridges at Jeju Island, Korea, and after 36 holes, Justin Thomas leads the way with 68-63-131, 13 under par. He holds a two-stroke lead over Byeong Hun An (64-69) and Danny Lee (67-66).  

    Emiliano Grillo (69-66-135) and Jordan Spieth (70-65-135) are tied for fourth at 9 under. 

    Seminole Brooks Koepka is at even par with rounds of 69-75-144, and Gator Billy Horschel is 1 over, tied for 54th with 71-74-145. Phil Mickelson is tied for 33rd at 2 under after rounds of 70-72-142. 

    Rookie Viktor Hovland broke a PGA Tour record when he shot 69 in the first round, marking his 18th consecutive round in the 60s. Bob Estes held the record of 17, set in 2001. The PGA has kept track of the statistic since 1983. Hovland then added to the record with a second-round 69.
