Monday, December 11, 2017

The 2017 season is over, and the PGA Tour will resume on Jan. 4 with the $6.3 million Tournament of Champions in Maui. That will be followed by the Sony Open in Hawaii, where Ted Potter will make his 2018 debut.

Then the Tour moves to the west coast, and the next five events will be contested in California and Arizona. They will move east for the $6.6 million Honda Classic at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens on Feb. 22. The other two Florida events will be the $6.5 million Valspar at Innisbrook on March 8 and the $8.9 million Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill on March 15.

Steve Stricker and Sean O'Hair held on to win the final event, the QBE Shootout in Naples, winding up the three-days of various formats at 26 under par. Shane Lowry and Graeme McDowell were second at 24 under.

Seminole Daniel Berger and partner Gary Woodland were tied for fourth at 21 under, along with Lexie Thompson and Tony Finau. Gator Billy Horschel and Jason Dufner never got it going and were 12th and last at 15 under.
