HALLANDALE BEACH – The 20-cent Rainbow 6 will have a carryover of $398,431.69 when racing resumes Wednesday at Gulfstream Park.
Sunday’s sequence began with Candy Crushem, ridden by John Velazquez, returning $17.80, and ended with Allegiance, with Julien Leparoux aboard, returning $12.20. Multiple tickets with six winners returned $4,771.18. There was $300,680 bet into the Rainbow 6.
Racing resumes Wednesday with a 10-race program beginning at 12:35 p.m. The rainbow 6 will begin with the fifth race, a maiden claiming event with a field of eight going six furlongs. There will be two turf races in the sequence.
There will also be a Super Hi 5 carryover of $9,345.69.
Since the Championship Meet kicked off Dec. 1, the Rainbow 6 has been hit seven times, most recently for a $227,505.88 payout Feb. 15.
