Rainbow 6 Continues to Grow

    HALLANDALE BEACH - Today’s 12-race program at Gulfstream Park will include a Rainbow 6 carryover of $1,457,629. First race post time is 12:45 p.m.

    For the 40th consecutive racing day, there was no single winning ticket Saturday on the 20-cent wager. Multiple tickets with six winners returned $39,851. The Rainbow 6 was last solved July 6, when one bettor hit for a $173,583 jackpot payoff.

   
Today’s sequence begins with the seventh race, a five furlong event for 2-year-olds. The sequence will include three turf races.  There will also be a Super Hi 5 carryover of $3,437.

NOTES: Sanford Bacon’s and Patrick Biancone Racing’s 3-year-old filly Kelsey’s Cross, third in the Gr. III Wonder Again and third in the Saratoga Oaks, returned to Gulfstream Saturday to win a mile turf event in 1:35.05. The daughter of Anthony’s Cross broke her maiden at Gulfstream in May…Manuel J. Melean won his first race in the U.S. when guiding Angelus Warrior to victory in the seventh race. Melean is from Venezuela and is the brother of Manuel A. Melean, who has won six races in the U.S
