Rahm Is the Hero in the Bahamas
Monday, December 3, 2018

Hideki Matsuyama finished 18th and last at even par 288 in the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas. He's the only one Tiger beat.

Tiger's 287, 1 under par, left him in 17th place, but it wasn't quite as bad as it may seem. He took a triple bogey in the first round and doubles in the second and third, going 7 over par for the trio. He played the other 69 holes in 8 under.

Jon Rahm closed with 65 for 268 (20 under par) to win the event by four strokes over Tony Finau and five over Justin Rose, who also closed with 65.

This week's event is the $3.4 million QBE Shootout at Tiburon Golf Club in Naples. The next event is the Tournament of Champions in Hawaii on Jan 3, and Ted Potter is eligible due to his victory in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am. They will remain in Hawaii for the next week for the first full field event, the Sony Open.
