Potter Winds Up at 286 at the Memorial
Monday, June 4, 2018

Ted Potter rebounded from a double-bogey 5 on the 16th hole with two birdies on the front nine Sunday and wound up at 2-under-par 286 at the Memorial in Dublin, Ohio. Ted tied for 57th place and earned a check for $19,758, bringing his total for the season to $1,735,138.

Ted will forego the FedEx St. Jude Classic this week in Memphis, and leaves Ohio with the following stats: he's 44th on the PGA Tour money list; 39th on the FedEx list with 695 points; 56th on the PGA Championship list; 52nd in President's Cup points, and 84th in the Official World Golf rankings. And, amazingly, considering the number of players who have competed on the PGA Tour over the years, he's 313th in career money winnings with $4,365,703.

Bryson DeChambeau won the Memorial in a three-way playoff, making a par and a birdie on two trips down the 18th hole. Byeong Hun An made a pair of pars, and Kyle Stanley bowed out after the first hole with a bogey. The trio ended 72 holes at 15 under, one better than Patrick Cantlay, who closed with a 66.

Phil Mickelson closed with a 68 for 278 and tied for 13th, and Tiger Woods remained at 9 under and tied for 23rd at 279 after shooting an even-par 72.

The FedEx St. Jude will be another event missing most of the name players, but will include Dustin Johnson, Mickelson, Henrik Stenson and Seminoles Brooks Koepka and defending champ Daniel Berger. John Daly will be present, along with Gators Matt Every, Brian Gay, Billy Horschel and Brett Stegmaier. Gay tied for 44th in Ohio at 4 under.
