Potter Well Back After Round 1 in Boston
Saturday, September 1, 2018

Ted Potter is in clear danger of missing the cut in the Dell Technologies Championship after posting a 3-over-par 74 in the opening round at the TPC Boston. Playing early in the morning, Ted made three birdies, four bogeys and one double over the par-71 course and will have to step it up today to get under the early projected cut line of 1 over. He's tied for 83rd.

There were 97 players who teed off in the second leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs, but Gator Billy Horschel withdrew after a front-nine 41. The other Gator, Brian Gay, shot a 1-over 72.

Justin Rose is the first-round leader with a 6 under 65, one stroke better than Abraham Ancer and Russell Knox.

Phil Mickelson was also at 1 over, while Seminole Brooks Koepka shot 69 and is tied for 16th, and Daniel Berger shot 73. Tiger Woods bogeyed his first hole and never really got it going, finishing with a 1-over 72.
