Potter, Tiger Miss Weekend at Riviera
Saturday, February 17, 2018

Ted Potter will miss the weekend at the Genesis Open. So will Tiger Woods, one Seminole and all the Gators.

Ted played a little better on Friday, posting a 1-over-par 72 but his 148 total, 6 over par, is eight strokes off the cut line of -2. Tiger shot 72-76 and will be seen next in the Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens on Thursday, an event he has rarely played. Ted will be there, too.

The other scores: Daniel Berger, 9 over; Matt Every, 5 over; Billy Horschel, 6 over; Brian Gay, 7 over; Camilo Villegas, 7 over.

Ted began round two by making bogey on his first and third holes, but was able to come back to shoot one over.

Patrick Cantlay, Graeme McDowell and Sam Saunders are tied for the lead at 7 under, with Ryan Moore one shot back. Justin Thomas and Rory McIlroy are both 2 under, Jordan Spieth and Phil Mickelson 1 under, and Dustin Johnson 1 over.
