Ted Potter opened the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic with a 2-under-par 70 yesterday and heads into today's round 2 tied for 37th. Like last week at the Great Exuma Classic, play was suspended due to darkness with several players still on the course.
There's a four-way tie for the lead at 7 under par among Davis Thompson, Alvaro Ortiz, Dawson Armstrong and Corey Shaun.
Ted played the back nine first and made one birdie and eight pars for a 1-under 35. On the front, he birdied the par-5 first and par-4 second to get it to 3 under, but bogeys on 3, 6 and 9 negated birdies on 5 and 8 for another 35.
Gator Tyson Alexander shot 3-under 69 and is tied for 24th, while Dan McCarthy, two-time winner of the Ocala Open at Candler Hills, posted a 2-under-70.
