Potter Shoots 68, Tied for Third in Illinois
Saturday, June 24, 2017

Despite making three bogeys, Ted Potter is very much alive after 36 holes at the Lincoln Land Charity Championship in Springfield, Illinois. Ted made six birdies and finished with a 3-under-par 68 over the Panther Creek course, and he's in an 11-way, third-place logjam at 9 under, three off the lead.

Tom Whitney posted a pair of 65s and is alone at the top at 12 under, followed by Kyle Thompson (68-64-132), alone in second. All the first-round leaders, Carlos Ortiz, Vince India and Jin Park, struggled in round 2 and fell off the pace. Seminole Jack Maguire snuck in at the cut line (-3) with rounds of 69-70-139. There are 20 players tied for the last spot.

Ted tees off today in the next-to-last group at 11:58.
