Potter Shoots 67, Moves Up 42 Spots in Korea
Friday, October 19, 2018

Ted Potter rebounded from a horrendous opening-round 77 at the CJ Cup at Nine Bridges in Korea with a second-round 67, and moved up 42 places from a tie for 72nd into a tie for 30th after 36 holes.

After making just one birdie in round 1, along with three bogeys and one triple, Ted ripped the Nine Bridges course for two birdies on the front nine and four on the back, with just a lone bogey, en route to his 5-under round.

Scott Piercy moved into the top spot after rounds of 70-65-135, 9 under par. He's one stroke ahead of Seminole Brooks Koepka, looking to add to his great 2018 resume that will soon result in his being named Player of the Year. Brooks added a 9-under 65 to his opening 71 and is 8 under. Chez Reavie, the leader at 4 under Thursday, added a 2-under 70 and is third at 6 under.

Gators: Brian Gay - 74-70-144, even par, tied for 30th; Billy Horschel - 74-74-148, 4 over, tied for 65th.
