Potter Shoots 2 Under in Dominican Republic; It's Much Too Late
Saturday, March 26, 2022

After his knockout 84 in the first round of the Corales Puntacana Championship, Ted Potter made a big turnaround in round 2, improving by 14 strokes with a 2-under-par 70, but it wasn't nearly enough to overcome his deficit and he bowed out of the $3.7 million event without reaching the weekend.

Ted birdied the second and fourth holes on the Corales Golf Course Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic for a 2-under 34 on the front nine. He gave both of those back with bogeys at 10 and 11, but birdies at 13 and 17 got him back to 2 under.

Ben Martin leads after 54 holes with rounds of 66-66-70-202, 14 under par, two ahead of Chad Ramey and three ahead of Jhonattan Vegas. Seminole Hank Lebioda is tied for 39th at 4 under (71-71-70-212), and Gator Camilo Villegas is tied for 51st at 2 under (74-69-71-214).
