Potter Earns $32,400 - On to Boston
Tuesday, August 28, 2018

The second leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs kicks off Friday at the TPC Boston and winds up on Labor Day, the only PGA Tour event to schedule a Monday finish. The field has been cut to the top 100 names on the points list after 25 players failed to make it through the Northern Trust Open in New Jersey.

Ted Potter made it to round 2, as did Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Gators Billy Horschel and Brian Gay, and Seminoles Brooks Koepka and Daniel Berger.

Ted shot 2 over par on the front nine Sunday, then got the two strokes back with a pair of birdies on the back on holes 12 and 13 for an even-par 71. He posted a 72-hole total of 280, 4 under par and tied for 40th. Ted collected a check of $32,400 and raised his bank account for the season to $1,911,308, with at least one more chance (but probably more) to add to it in Boston.

Bryson DeChambeau ran away on Sunday and wound up at 18 under par, good for a four-stroke score over Tony Finau and five over Horschel. Tiger also finished at 4 under and Mickelson tied for 15th at 9 under.
