Potter Begins Today in Digital Ally Open
Friday, July 28, 2017

The Digital Ally Open in Overland Park, Kansas, was washed out yesterday and the Web.com Tour event will begin this morning, with the second 18 holes on Saturday and a 36-hole finale set for Sunday. Ted Potter goes off on No. 10 at 8:10 in the company of veteran Daniel Chopra and Aron Price.

Seminole Jack Maguire is in the field, and Rob Oppenheim and Dan McCarthy, two stalwarts of the Ocala Open at Candler Hills, will be playing together for the first two rounds.

GATOR IN THE LEAD - Struggling Matt Every put it all together in the opening round of the RBC Canadian Open, firing a 7-under-par 65 and deadlocking for the lead with Kevin Chappell, Hudson Swafford, Brandon Hagy and Ollie Schniederjans. There is another logjam at 6 under, with 11 players, including Vijay Singh and Bubba Watson, and one at 5 under, including Dustin Johnson.

Every's collegiate Gatormates, Brett Stegmaier, Brian Gay and Camilo Villegas, all posted 1-under 71s and were in trouble, two strokes above the cut line of minus 3.
