The Web.com Tour moves to Newburgh, Indiana, this week, for the $600,000 United Leasing & Finance Championship and Ted Potter is back in action. Ted is currently 18th on the tour's money list with earnings of $49,270 in his quest to make "the 25," which would bring him back to the PGA Tour later this year.
The money leader is Andrew Putnam with $171,100 and there are no less than eight players whose first names begin with A in the 25 right now. When Ted first made it through the Nationwide Tour several years back, he finished second on the money list with just over $402,000.
Among the entrants this week are such familiar names as Stuart Appleby, Robert Allenby, Jason Gore, Dan McCarthy (two-time winner of the Ocala Open at Candler Hills), and Central Floridian Rob Oppenheim. Also playing are three veterans of the PGA Tour who fall into the 48-49 year bracket and getting ready for the Champions Tour - Steve Flesch, Shaun Micheel and Peter Lonard.
The Victoria National Golf Club is a par-72, stretching to 7,242 yards.
