Ted Potter posted a ho-hum round on the first day of the Barracuda Championship in Truckee, California. The event is being scored by the Modified Stableford system, which allots 8 points for a double eagle, 5 for an eagle, 2 for a birdie, 0 for a par, minus 1 for a bogey and minus 3 for a double or worse.
Ted made one bogey and one birdie on the back nine at the Tahoe Mountain Club and was plus 1 heading to the front. There he made one bogey and 8 pars and finished even, three points off the early cut line of plus 3.
Ryan Moore and Adam Schenk lead after 18 holes at plus 14, three ahead of a group of three that includes Patrick Reed. Gator Brian Gay wound up at plus 4, while Matt Every is minus 1. Seminole Hank Lebioda is at plus 2.
