The PGA Tour rolls into high gear this week with the Northern Trust event, first round of the FedEx Cup playoffs, to be contested at the Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, New Jersey. Ridgewood is a par-71 track measuring 7,385 yards and it's one of the oldest courses in the country, dating back to 1890.

    The top 125 players on the FedEx list will be competing, including Ted Potter, Tiger Woods and defending champ Dustin Johnson, who defeated Jordan Spieth in a one-hole playoff last year. 

    There are two Gators in the field, Billy Horschel and Brian Gay, and two Seminoles, Brooks Koepka and Daniel Berger.  

    Purse money to be distributed - $9 million.
